![]() Club OrganizationMVYC was organized as a nonprofit corporation in 1956. Its activities are governed by its Article of Incorporation, Bylaws and Club rules. Monthly meetings of both the Board of Trustees, elected annually, and the membership allow for the conduct of Club business. Each January a detailed operating budget is proposed by the Board of Trustees, then discussed and voted upon by the voting membership. Volunteer committee chairmen then carry out the budget plan through the year with oversight by the Board. Each is in charge of a member committee for grounds, clubhouse,pool, marina, security and the like. In addition to the Club's regular meetings, communications are maintained through a monthly newsletter - The Beacon - and by using the Club's bulletin boards and telephone calling tree. |
