 MVYC MembershipHow to Join the. Do you want to be a part of the fun? Do you want to join in on the Swimming, Boating and Parties? Read on to see how you can join in the fun at MVYC. Membership in the Mount Vernon Yacht Club is limited to 230 families. To be considered for membership, you must live in the Washington DC metropolitan area, be willing to pay the initiation fee and annual membership dues, be ENDORSED by two of the current members and be available to participate in one of the many volunteer committees within the club. Although MVYC is a boating related club, membership DOES NOT guarantee you a slip in our marina. The total number of slips available is limited to 135 and assignment to a slip is on an "as available" basis. However, with the many parties, activities and social events, both planned and impromptu, you will be sure to have fun at MVYC.
